Cookie Policy

Last updated: 5 October 2026

The short version: FlagIQ uses no advertising, analytics or cross-site tracking cookies — on this website or in the platform. What little we store in your browser exists purely to keep you signed in and remember your workspace preferences. That's why you don't see a cookie banner here: there's nothing to consent to beyond what's strictly necessary.

1. What we store, exactly

The FlagIQ platform (after sign-in) uses browser storage — localStorage and IndexedDB, which are cookie-like technologies — strictly for functionality:

ItemPurposeType
Firebase Authentication storageKeeps you securely signed in between visitsStrictly necessary
flagiq_authCaches your session profile (name, role) so pages load instantlyStrictly necessary
flagiq_active_orgRemembers which organization a platform administrator is viewingFunctional
flagiq_notif_seen_*Remembers which alert notifications you've already seenFunctional

These are stored only in your own browser, are not used to track you across other websites, and are not shared with advertisers — we have none.

2. The marketing website

The public site (this one) sets no cookies at all and runs no analytics. Fonts and styling libraries are loaded from content-delivery networks (Google Fonts, cdnjs-class CDNs), which receive the standard technical data inherent to any web request (your IP address) in order to serve the files.

3. The trust badge on client websites

Some of our clients display a "Screening protected by FlagIQ" badge on their own sites. The badge script sets no cookies and does no tracking. It makes a single request to FlagIQ to verify the client's active status, which — like any web request — technically includes your IP address; we don't use it to profile visitors.

4. What may change

If we introduce anti-abuse protection (such as Google reCAPTCHA for sign-in hardening), it may set strictly-necessary cookies or similar identifiers to distinguish humans from bots. If we ever add analytics or any non-essential cookies, we will update this policy first and, where the law requires it, ask for your consent before they are set.

5. Managing browser storage

You can clear localStorage, IndexedDB and cookies at any time through your browser settings (usually under "Clear browsing data" / "Site settings"). Clearing FlagIQ's storage simply signs you out and resets your workspace preferences — nothing breaks.
